Croon-a-Roma
Rare Sentimental Vocal Tracks from Italian 60s and 70s Movies

This is about genuine crooners between schmaltz and sentiment. The featured singers are for the most part unknown "cantanti" who otherwise have to take a back seat to composer names (e.g.: Francesco De Masi, Nico Fidenco or Stelvio Cipriani) or movie titles ("Sartana Does Not Forgive", "Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals", "Candido erotico"). Moreover, this compilation is a bow to the Roman label Beat Records, which since the 60s has released countless soundtracks and the solo works of the contributing artists.

The CD was compiled by DJ Freddie in 2002 and is now, over 20 years later, for the first time also available digitally for download and streaming.
