Der von Kultregisseur Quentin Tarantino als Genie bezeichnete Alfred Vohrer (<em>Perrak<\/em>, <em>Das gelbe Haus am Pinnasberg<\/em>) inszenierte den Film &#8211; weg vom beschaulichen deutschen hin zum weitaus gewaltt\u00e4tigeren Spaghetti Western. Bei Kritikern und Fans l\u00f6ste dies ein zwiesp\u00e4ltiges Echo aus, die Urteile reichten von \u201eexplosiv\u201c bis zu \u201eder Tiefpunkt der Serie\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>Auch bei der Filmmusik wurde ein neuer Weg beschritten: Peter Thomas l\u00f6ste Martin B\u00f6ttcher als \u201eWinnetou-Komponist\u201c ab. Es sollte der einzige Karl-May-Film mit Peter-Thomas-Musik bleiben; nicht verwunderlich, befand er sich doch gerade in seiner produktiven Hochphase. Zwischen Edgar-Wallace-Krimis und Jerry-Cotton-Actionrei\u00dfern war er somit mehr als gut besch\u00e4ftigt. Erst 1980 kehrte Thomas mit der Musik zur TV-Serie <em>Mein Freund Winnetou<\/em> noch einmal zum Sujet zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p>Es entstand ein Soundtrack, der als Link zwischen B\u00f6ttchers Karl-May-Streichermelodien und der deutlich experimentelleren Italowestern-Filmmusik, beispielsweise eines Ennio Morricone, geh\u00f6rt werden kann.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.allscore.de\/upload\/Winnetou_12inch_Gatefold_in.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nGatefold innen<\/p>\n<p>Das vorliegende Album ist die Premiere dieses Scores auf Vinyl. Selbstverst\u00e4ndlich wurden alle 42(!) Titel daf\u00fcr neu gemastert.<\/p>\n<p>Nach <em>Peter Thomas Sound Orchester \u2013 Bruce Lee: The Big Boss<\/em> (CD\/LP ASM 048, Allscore 2020) ist dies die zweite LP\/CD-Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der neuen Reihe auf Allscore, die dem am 17.
